Women's Clinic
Miraeyeon OB/GYN and Fertility Clinic drives its name from three traditional Chinese characters 美來緣: meaning Embracing Blessed Relationship. This name suggests that the doctors of the MIRAEYEON clinic are doing everything possible in the name of a long-awaited meeting with a precious new life.

The medical staff of Mireeyong Hospital consists of three doctors with professorial status and extensive experience in the CA Hospital, who joined together and created one of the best fertility clinics in Korea.

Based on the extensive experience of the research center, advanced knowledge and the latest technology, we provide the best individualized treatment for each patient.

01 Unparalleled Success Rate

As of October 2017, about 65% of our patients have successfully conceived through our fertility treatments. This rate is approximately 15~20% higher than average IVF Success Rates in the United States. Fertility specialists offer highly effective fertility treatments with wide variety of options including non-surgical fertility treatments, IVF, and other assisted reproductive technologies with proven successful outcomes.

02 Integrated Medical Care

Both emotional health and physical health of our patients are central to our medical care. The treatment process can be both physically and emotionally demanding. When designing each patient’s treatment our doctors, nurses, and counselors work in unison to accommodate all our patient’s needs and provide individualized patient care system that ensures safety and reduces the occurrence of side effects.

03 Up-to-date Research Facility

We provide the best obstetrical care that focuses on understanding women’s physical and psychological needs through solid clinical research. With former research engineer of fertility research department at Gangnam CHA Medical Center, Yu Yeon Lee , as our research manager, we continue to make breakthroughs that are innovational and exclusive to our fertility treatments

Technology

1. Intracytoplasmic (or intracellular) sperm injection (ICSI)

ICSI - it is a method of artificial insemination - a procedure carried out under a microscope, during which the fastest and morphologically normal sperm is injected directly into the egg. In the event that the condition of spermatozoa is not very good or there was a low percentage of fertilization with conventional in vitro fertilization, the ICSI method helps to increase the chance of fertilization and the percentage of pregnancy.

2. Selection of spermatozoa associated with hyaluronic acid (mature spermatozoa) – PICSI (“Physiological ICSI”)

This is a method of selection of spermatozoa for further ICSI, based on the interaction of mature spermatozoa with hyaluronic acid. According to recent studies, spermatozoa that have reached the mature phase and have the least number of DNA disorders begin to interact with acid. Using this method increases the chances of obtaining good quality embryos accordingly.

3. Diagnosis of sperm DNA fragmentation

This is a way to determine the level of DNA fragmentation in spermatozoa. This method can identify the cause of miscarriages and recurrent miscarriages due to sperm DNA damage and improve the effectiveness of male infertility treatment through proper patient treatment and sperm processing.

4. Auxiliary laser hatching

If the zona pellucida is too thick, then laser dissection of this membrane is performed before embryo replanting - a procedure that helps the embryo “hatch” and ultimately increase the chances of implantation.

5. Embryonic Glue

One of the procedures that increases the implantation rate is the transfer of embryos placed in a culture medium with hyaluronic acid, thereby helping the embryo to attach to the uterine wall.

6. Cultivation of embryos to the blastocyst stage

Embryos obtained under laboratory conditions are cultured in an incubator for about 5 days, where they reach the blastocyst stage. The advantage of culturing up to day 5 is that the best healthy embryo can be selected before they are transferred and a high pregnancy rate can be achieved by minimizing the number of transferred embryos.

7. Cryopreservation (vitrification) of embryos

After the embryo transfer, the remaining embryos can be cryopreserved and used in the next pregnancy attempt, during which the embryos can be transferred without ovulation induction and egg retrieval. Vitrification (superfast freezing) is a technique that helps prevent damage to the embryo during freezing, thereby increasing their survival. Also, the transfer of embryos after cryopreservation showed a high percentage of pregnancy and fertility.

8. Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS)

Pre-implantation genetic screening is carried out to study the chromosome set of the resulting embryos in order to select embryos without genetic abnormalities for transplantation, thereby helping to prevent implantation failures, miscarriages, pregnancy with a fetus with chromosomal abnormalities.
